Alan Partridge retraces his Norfolk roots - video

Alan Partridge offers a guided tour of Norfolk in the first clip from his new TV show, which you can watch above.
Steve Coogan has resurrected his legendary comic creation for a string of new shows for Sky Atlantic. The first of which, Alan Partridge: Welcome To The Places Of My Life, airs on June 25.
The documentary sees Partridge retrace his roots in a quest to discover "who, why and what I am". He takes us on a deeply personal journey through region; "whether you know it as East Anglia, the plump peninsula, home of the broads, although that sounds like refuge or fallen prostitutes, Albion's hind quarters or quite simply, the Wales of the east."
Alan's quest sees him revisit the drama of a political deadlock over plans by Norwich council to extend city centre parking restrictions to beyond 7pm, and in a lighter segment, shows us how to make a walking stick out of branches "made in Britain, by trees".
Other Patridge programming will see a re-edited version of the online series Mid Morning Matters and Alan Partridge On Open Books With Martin Bryce will feature Alan getting interviewed by an author (Robert Popper) about his literary works. A second series of Mid Morning Matters will also be screened in 2013.
Coogan said of the shows: "Alan has been off the TV for too long but he is even more excited than me about his chance to have a second bite of the cherry. Alan feels the second decade of the millennium is the right time."
