Amanda Seyfried in talks to join Seth MacFarlane's 'A Million Ways to Die in the West'
'Les Misérables' actress in negotiations to team up with the 'Family Guy' creator
Amanda Seyfried is in talks to join the cast of Seth MacFarlane's A Million Ways To Die In The West.
The Les Misérables actress is currently in negotiations with the Family Guy creator to star in the filmmaker's follow-up feature film to his hit Ted, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
If an agreement can be made, Seyfried will join Charlize Theron and MacFarlane, who is starring in, directing and co-writing A Million Ways To Die In The West, which has been described as a Western comedy with modern sensibilities.
The film follows a farmer who backs out of a gunfight and sees his girlfriend - likely to be played by Sefried - leave him. The sheepish farmer then meets a notorious outlaw's wife (Theron) who teaches him how to shoot, and he attempts to win back his girlfriend's love. The Western caper is due to go into production in May.
Seth MacFarlane is set to host this year's Oscars, which take place Sunday, February 24 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Family Guy creator MacFarlane was named as host back in October after Ted, which he wrote and directed, became one of last year's biggest hits.
