Anna Faris lined up for Sacha Baron-Cohen's 'The Dictator'
Actress in advanced talks to play love interest of political despot
Anna Faris is being lined up to star opposite Sacha Baron Cohen in his new project The Dictator. The Borat and Bruno star will play dual roles in the new comedy, set for release in May of next year. The film will be scripted by the writers behind Seinfeld.
Now, it has emerged that Faris is in advanced talks to play the despot’s love interest, the owner of an organic food store that he meets on a visit to the United Nations in the US.
According to Deadline.com, Paramount has said of the movie: "The film tells the heroic story of a dictator who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed. It is inspired by the bestselling novel Zabibah And The King by Saddam Hussein."
