Arnold Schwarzenegger confirms 'Terminator 5' will begin filming in January 2014

Action movie star will reprise his role as the cyborg assassin for the 4th time

Arnold Schwarzenegger has confirmed he'll begin filming Terminator 5 in January 2014.

Earlier this year, the action movie star announced that he would be returning to the sci-fi franchise to play the role of the Terminator. At the time, he said: "I think this year the script will be finished and we will be able to go into pre-production."

Now he has gone one further and has revealed that shooting will begin early next year (2014). He will reprise his role as the cyborg assassin for the fourth time in the fifth instalment in the franchise series, The Arnold Fans report.

Speaking at the 21st Century Financial Education Summit seminar in Australia, Schwarzenegger said: "I'm very happy that the studios want me to be in Terminator 5 and to star AS the Terminator, which we start shooting in January."

Schwarzenegger played the cyborg assassin in three films released between 1984 and 2003, but sat out the last instalment, 2009's Terminator Salvation, which starred Christian Bale and Sam Worthington.

Meanwhile, Schwarzenegger has also revealed that he will be returning to play two other iconic characters from his career. The actor will once again play Conan the Barbarian in King Conan and Julius Benedict in the sequel to Twins, titled Triplets. "I'm getting the script in two weeks from now," he said.
