Ashton Kutcher to replace Charlie Sheen in 'Two And A Half Men'
Kutcher is on the verge of signing to replace fired Sheen in his US sitcom
Ashton Kutcher is being lined up to a replace Charlie Sheen in Two And A Half Men. Sheen was fired from the US sitcom earlier this year after his behaviour became increasingly erratic, culminating in a spat with executive producer Chuck Lorre.
The future of the series had been in doubt, but it has now emerged that the search for a replacement has been ongoing, with Kutcher on the verge of signing a deal, according to Hollywoodreporter.com.
Sources claim that Kutcher will receive around $1million (£615,000) per episode. In his old job, Sheen was the highest-paid actor in television, receiving $2million (£1,230,000) an episode, when factoring in his portion of repeat revenue.
Warner Brothers, CBS and Kutcher's representatives have yet to officially confirm the deal.
Former Punk'd star Kutcher can currently be seen opposite Natalie Portman in No Strings Attached.
