'Attack The Block' actor John Boyega for 'Terminator: Genesis' role?
Actor linked with both 'Terminator' reboot and 'Star Wars'
Attack The Block actor John Boyega could be close to signing on for Terminator: Genesis, according to reports.
Collider says that Boyega could play the son of scientist Miles Dyson in the film, but his casting depends on whether he takes up a role in Star Wars: Episode VII. It was reported earlier this year that he was a heavy favourite to land the part of a Jedi apprentice in JJ Abrams' reboot of the much-loved sci-fi saga, but there have been no official reports linking him with the picture.
Terminator: Genesis will be directed by Thor: The Dark World filmmaker Alan Clarke, with Game Of Thrones star Emilia Clarke to play Sarah Connor and A Good Day To Die Hard actor Jai Courtney playing Kyle Reese. Arnold Schwarzenegger will also return to the franchise for the film, which will open in UK cinemas in June 2015.
A host of casting rumours for Star Wars: Episode VII have continued to gain momentum, meanwhile, with names such as Gary Oldman, Judi Dench, Zac Efron and Benedict Cumberbatch all linked with the project. Girls actor Adam Driver will play the film's villain, while original trilogy members Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford will all return.
