Bradley Cooper developing Navy SEAL action film
The star will produce and act in 'American Sniper'
Bradley Cooper is developing a new Navy SEALs action project for Warner Bros.
The Hangover star is set to produce American Sniper through his production company 22nd & Indiana, and will also likely star in the film, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Cooper's film will be an adaptation of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle's book American Sniper: The Autobiography Of The Most Lethal Sniper In US Military History. Jason Dean Hall will pen the screenplay, with Andrew Lazar and Peter Morgan producing alongside Cooper. The film is yet to find a director.
The original book follows Texas-born Kyle, who held the record for the most sniper kills for the US. It gives first-person accounts of a sniper's work, along with passages from Kyle's wife, who saw her husband's focus change from her to war.
Cooper has a busy time ahead, with roles in The Silver Linings Playbook - the follow-up to The Fighter - The Words, Hit And Run and The Place Beyond The Pines, which all hit theatres this year.
