Captain America to make appearance in 'Thor 2'?
'Captain America' actor Chris Evans admits that he wants to make a cameo in the next 'Thor film'
Captain America star Chris Evans has revealed that he could make a cameo appearance in the next Thor film.
The characters were united on screen alongside fellow Marvel superheroes Iron Man and the Hulk in this year's The Avengers, an ensemble blockbuster that has become the third biggest film ever. Evans had previously played Captain America in a 2011 film subtitled The First Avenger.
A second standalone Captain America film is the works for an April 2014 release. Before then, Chris Hemsworth will return in Thor: The Dark World, which is scheduled to open next November (2013).
When asked whether Captain America could appear in the earlier movie too, Evans told Collider: "Hemsworth and I even talked about that. I would love to do a little thing in Thor 2. It is obviously going to be tricky trying to work out the plot, the reason why I am not there to help him, and why he is not there to help me. But the best thing about Marvel is that, like I said, the movies were so good and we had such a good time making them."
Thor: The Dark World began shooting earlier this month (September 2012) in Surrey. Alongside Hemsworth, the sequel boasts an ensemble cast including Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins, Christopher Eccleston and Stellan Skarsgård. Thor director Kenneth Branagh has not returned for the sequel, which is instead being helmed by Alan Taylor from Game Of Thrones.
