Christian Slater, Holt McCallany join Sylvester Stallone action thriller
'Bullet To The Head' adaptation has also signed Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje
Christian Slater has signed on to star alongside Sylvester Stallone in a forthcoming adaptation of French graphic novel Du Plomb Dans La Tete, which translates as Bullet To The Head. According to Variety.com, Slater is among a trio of names who have been added to the as-yet-untitled action thriller - the other two being Holt McCallany and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.
Stallone is due to play a hitman who is forced to team up with a young New York detective played by Sung Kang.
G.I. Joe franchise star Akinnuoye-Agbaje will take the role of a villainous attorney who attempts to cover up a scam to exploit residents of New Orleans hit by Hurricane Katrina.
Meanwhile Slater will play a middleman, with Fight Club star McCallany portraying a bent cop.
The Wayne Kramer-directed film was reported to be titled Headshot earlier this year, although it would appear this moniker has been scrapped.
Filming began in New York and Louisiana last month ahead of a 2012 release.
