'Chronicle' lands UK box office top spot
The found footage adventure ends the reign of 'War Horse'
Chronicle has ended War Horse's three-week reign at the top of the UK box office chart.
The acclaimed found-footage superhero movie takes the number one spot on its opening weekend, taking in over £2 million, and comfortable beating Journey 2: The Mysterious Island into second place.
In the wake of these new entries, George Clooney's Oscar favourite The Descendants drops a place to land at number three.
The top five is completed by Adam Sandler's new comedy Jack And Jill at five, while Sam Worthington's heist thriller Man On A Ledge also debuts at six.
The UK box office top ten is:
