Clint Eastwood has declared he is much happier being on the director's side of the camera these days, but that he would not rule out a return to acting if the script was right. Eastwood has not acted on screen since Gran Torino in 2008, but he says he would consider it if the right role came along.
"I haven't read many scripts like that. I'll stay right where I am, behind the camera. I have no burning desire to get up there. But if the right role came along, I could develop the desire to do it," he told Yahoo News.
Meanwhile, Eastwood's latest directorial offering, Hereafter, sees him reunited with Invictus actor Matt Damon and he has also confirmed he is working on Hoover, a biopic of FBI director J Edgar Hoover starring Leonardo DiCaprio.
Hereafter is released on January 28.
