Danny Dyer to star in new series of 'Hollyoaks Later'
He'll play a 'ruthless ex-pat' living in Spain in the soap's late-night spin-off
Danny Dyer has joined the cast of Hollyoaks Later, the Channel 4 soap's late-night spin-off.
The new series is set in Spain and Dyer will play a ruthless ex-pat known as "The White Man". The story follows a trio of Hollyoaks favourites - Tony (Nick Pickard), Dom (John Pickard) and Finn (James Redmond) - as they're sucked into a world of "high-stakes poker, Russian roulette and kidnapping".
As the plot unfolds, Dyer's The White Man will apparently become their "unrelenting adversary". "Danny will bring plenty of menacing drama to his enigmatic character," an E4 press release promises.
Filming will take place over the summer and the new series of Hollyoaks Later will air in five hour-long instalments this autumn.
Earlier this year (2013), Dyer's latest film Run For Your Wife hit the headlines after taking just £602 over its opening weekend. His more successful film appearances over the years have included Human Traffic, Mean Machine and The Football Factory.
