Demi Moore to play Miley Cyrus's mum in new film

Demi Moore has announced her role in a Miley Cyrus vehicle in perhaps the only way she could - via Twitter. The actress - next seen in stealth marketing drama The Joneses with David Duchovny - will play Cyrus's mother in the film, which is set to be named LOL - "laughing out loud".

"Starting a film in July with Miley called LOL," Moore tweeted when asked by a follower what she is working on.

The film is a remake of a 2008 French movie, which starred Sophie Marceau and was directed by Lisa Azuelos.

It revolved around a 15-year-old girl juggling heartbreak with her recently divorced mother's new single life.
