Director Wes Craven: 'No news on 'Scream 5' yet'

Director Wes Craven has taken to Twitter to deliver an update on Scream 5.

Last year's Scream 4 reactivated the slasher franchise after an 11-year break. Meanwhile, this June (2012) it was reported that MTV is hatching plans for a Scream TV series. It is unknown whether Craven and Williamson will play any part in its development.
