Emma Stone and Joaquin Phoenix join Woody Allen film
Cast for director's next film grows
Emma Stone and Joaquin Phoenix have been cast in Woody Allen's next movie.
The currently untitled film will be written, directed and produced by Allen, as always, with Stone and Phoenix the only confirmed cast members so far. The film will mark Stone's second time working with Allen, she also features in Magic In The Moonlight, which will be released this summer.
The untitled Stone and Phoenix project is likely to be released in 2016, continuing Allen's prolific run of making one film per calendary year. In 2013 he released the Oscar nominated Blue Jasmine which saw Cate Blanchett pick up an Academy Award for Best Actress and a cast which also included Sally Hawkins, Alec Baldwin and Louis CK.
Emma Stone can currently be seen as Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 while Joaquin Phoenix recently starred in the Spike Jonze drama Her. The pair begin work with Allen in July.
