Emma Stone and Jonah Hill rumoured for 'Ghostbusters 3'

Emma Stone and Jonah Hill have reportedly been offered deals to star in Ghostbusters 3.

According to Schmoesknow.com, the pair have been approached to play characters called Anna and Jeremy - though the website has no further details about who "Anna" and "Jeremy" actually are or how they fit into the film's storyline.

The new Ghostbusters flick has been in the works for well over a decade now but writer/star Dan Aykroyd has said he's feeling "re-encouraged" by the script and predicted in April that filming could begin early next year (2014). He's also revealed that the sequel will introduce a new team of younger Ghostbusters who begin the story as students at New York's Columbia University.

As things stand, Bill Murray has declined to reprise his popular role as Dr Peter Venkman from the first two Ghostbusters films. His co-star Rick Moranis discussed returning for a third instalment in June of this year, saying: "It's got to be good."

Aykroyd and another co-star, Harold Ramis, wrote the original 1984 Ghostbusters film and 1989's Ghostbusters II. However, the pair have apparently struggled to come up with a decent concept for the third movie and now Men In Black 3 writer Etan Cohen is believed to be working on the script.
