JJ Abrams has revealed a new initiative which gives fans the opportunity to appear in Star Wars Episode VII.
The director and his production company Bad Robot are behind the Star Wars: Force for Change initiative alongside Disney and Lucasfilm. The campaign is raising funds for UNICEF Innovation Labs and is offering fans who donate money the chance to be entered into a draw and play a part in the upcoming movie.
Anyone who donates $10 (£5.90) to the Omaze website will be entered into the draw, with prizes including a visit to the Star Wars set in London. The winner, and a guest, will also be included in a scene for the film.
Abrams said: "The Star Wars fans are some of the most passionate and committed folks around the globe. We're thrilled to offer a chance to come behind the scenes as our VIP guests and be in Star Wars: Episode VII."
The seventh installment of the much loved franchise has begun shooting at London's Pinewood studios ahead of a December 2015 release. Original stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill will return for the film alongside newcomers including Oscar Isaac and Adam Driver.
Fans can enter the prize draw to appear in Star Wars Episode VII until Friday, July 18.
