The final season of Mad Men will hit US TV screens in April, it has been announced.
The first episode of the last ever series of the hit AMC show will premiere on April 13 at 10pm (EST). The 14-episodes will be split over two years, just like Breaking Bad, and will come to an end in Spring 2015, according to the Huffington Post. In the UK, new episodes of Mad Men are shown on Sky Atlantic within a few days of premiering in the US.
"We plan to take advantage of this chance to have a more elaborate story told in two parts, which can resonate a little bit longer in the minds of our audience," the show's creator Matthew Weiner said in a statement. "The writers, cast and other artists welcome this unique manner of ending this unique experience."
Meanwhile, AMC also announced the air date for their Breaking Bad spinoff show, titled Better Call Saul which will hit TV screens in November 2014.
