The first trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice is reportedly "on the cusp of being released".

According to the normally reliable Collider, the trailer will be shown before all screenings of another Warner Bros. blockbuster, Mad Max: Fury Road, which opens in UK cinemas on May 14.

Though the Batman v Superman trailer could potentially be unveiled sooner, Warner Bros. are said to be keen to wait until after the buzz from the next Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer has died down. The second trailer for Abrams' film is expected to be released at this month's Star Wars Celebration event in Anahaim, California, which takes place from April 16 to April 19. It will then be shown before screenings of Avengers: Age Of Ultron, which opens in the UK on April 23.

Director Zack Snyder finished filming Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice in December (2014) and the eagerly-anticipated sequel to 2013's Man Of Steel is set for release on March 25, 2016.

Alongside Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman, the film stars Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane and Jeremy Irons as Batman's butler Alfred. Videos of the Batmobile on set were recently leaked online and can be viewed here.
