First 'Iron Man 3' trailer to debut later this month
Marvel Studios confirms that the teaser will appear online before the end of October 2012
The first trailer for Iron Man 3 is to be unveiled later this month (October 2012).
According to E! News, Marvel Studios will put the teaser online at 8.01am GMT on October 24 - or 12.01am PST on October 23.
Iron Man 3 began shooting in North Carolina this June (2012). It will be Robert Downey Jr's fourth outing as Tony Stark, a billionaire inventor who creates a powered suit of armour and turns himself into a superhero. The actor previously played Stark in 2008's Iron Man, 2010's Iron Man 2 and 2012's The Avengers.
Back in August (2012), Downey Jr injured his ankle while shooting a stunt, causing Marvel Studios to postpone production for around six weeks. However, filming resumed on October 1, and the sequel is still on course for its May 2013 release.
Both previous Iron Man movies were directed by Jon Favreau, but the new sequel is being helmed by Shane Black, best known for his screenwriting work on Lethal Weapon and The Last Boy Scout.
Ben Kingsley will co-star as Iron Man's nemesis, The Mandarin, while another villain will be played by Guy Pearce. Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle are both reprising their roles from previous Iron Man movies, but Scarlett Johansson, who appeared as Black Widow in Iron Man 2, is not returning this time.
