The first trailer for CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, VH1's biopic of the record-breaking R&B girlband, has been released. Scroll down and click 'play' to watch it.

The biopic stars Drew Sidora (Step Up) as T-Boz, Keke Palmer (Joyful Noise) as Chilli and 'Lip Gloss' rapper Lil Mama as Left Eye. In the trailer, they're seen recreating scenes from classic TLC videos 'Creep', 'Waterfalls' and 'No Scrubs' as well as giving interviews and preparing to go on stage.

The film's script was written by Kate Lanier, who previously penned the screenplays for the acclaimed 1993 Tina Turner biopic What's Love Got To Do With It and Mariah Carey's notorious 2001 flop Glitter. The two surviving members of TLC, T-Boz and Chilli, served as executive producers.

CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story is set to premiere on VH1 in the US on October 21. Meanwhile, TLC will make their live comeback tomorrow (July 27) at the Mixtape Festival in Hershey, Pennsylvania. T-Boz and Chilli were apparently so impressed with Lil Mama's performance in the biopic, Billboard reports, that they've invited the rapper to join them on stage tomorrow.

The duo are also set to release a compilation album featuring several new songs - including one called 'Posh Life' written by Lady Gaga with their longtime producer Dallas Austin - this October to coincide with the premiere of the biopic.
