First TV spot for 'Guardians of the Galaxy' revealed – watch

The first TV advert for Guardians Of The Galaxy has been revealed. Scroll down to watch.

The 30-second clip sees Chris Pratt's character of Peter Quill (aka Star-Lord) introduce his gang as "a thief, two thugs, an assassin and a maniac."

Guardians Of The Galaxy boasts a bumper cast with Brolin joining Zoe Saldana and Vin Diesel among others. John C Reilly, Doctor Who actress Karen Gillan, Benicio Del Toro and WWE wrestler Dave Bautista also appear. Director James Gunn began shooting the film in July last year (2013).

It was reported recently that Marvel are already discussing a sequel to the film, which could potentially be released on May 6, 2016 – a date which has been reserved for an unannounced project by Marvel, and would come shortly after a Guardians Of The Galaxy cartoon series premieres on Disney XD in autumn 2015. Marvel, however, have not yet commented on the reports.

Meanwhile, it was confirmed earlier this week that Josh Brolin will play Thanos in the film, which opens in UK cinemas on August 14.
