'Game Of Thrones' author gives fans the chance to be killed in upcoming novel
George RR Martin will kill you off for a pledge of £20,000
Game Of Thrones author George RR Martin is giving fans of his work the chance to be killed in one of his future novels.
The pledge is part of a Prizeo fundraising campaign Martin has launched in aid of charity organisations Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary and The Food Depot of Santa Fé, New Mexico.
Fans that pledge the maximum £20,000 donation will have a character in a future Song of Ice And Fire novel named after them – with a gruesome death promised by the author.
"There is one male character and one female character available," reads the description on the fundraising page. "You can choose your character's station in the world (lordling, knight, peasant, whore, lady, maester, septon, anything) and you will certainly meet a grisly death!"
Other prizes include a written thank you note from the author and the chance to attend the season five premiere of the show. Anyone that donates to the cause will be entered into a prize draw, with the winner and a friend being flown out to meet the author in Santa Fé.
Earlier this week George RR Martin suggested that the hit US show may require more than its allotted seven seasons, and even a movie, to tell his full story.
