'Game Of Thrones'' Peter Dinklage to star in 'Bad Santa'-style leprechaun comedy film
Dinklage will play a man who tells people he is a real-life leprechaun
Game Of Thrones actor Peter Dinklage has signed up to star in a comedy film that is "tonally in the vein of Bad Santa", The Hollywood Reporter has revealed.
Dinklage will apparently send up his size in the film, which is currently untitled, by playing a man who tells people he is a real-life leprechaun. Like Bad Santa, the film is said to contain plenty of dark, adult humour but could end on a relatively uplifting note.
The film has a script by Andrew Dodge, who has recently made his screenwriting debut with Bad Words, a comedy film set in the world of spelling bees that earned rave reviews at the Toronto International Film Festival last month (September).
Bad Words marks the directorial debut of Arrested Development actor Jason Bateman, who stars in the film alongside Alison Janney (The West Wing). It's due to be released in cinemas early next year (2014).
Meanwhile, Dinklage will be back as scene-stealing Tyrion Lannister when Game Of Thrones returns for its fourth season next year (2014). He is also set to play the main villain in X-Men: Days Of Future Past, which opens in cinemas on May 23, 2014.
