Game of Thrones star Kit Harington has reportedly joined the cast of How to Train Your Dragon 2.
According to Variety, the actor will voice the role of a villainous warrior in the computer-animated sequel. He will join a voice cast that includes numerous actors from the first How to Train Your Dragon film, including Jay Baruchel (pictured), Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, T.J. Miller, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Kristen Wiig.
The sequel will be written and directed by Dean DeBlois, who co-directed the first film with Chris Sanders and co-wrote its screenplay with Sanders and Will Davies.
How to Train Your Dragon, based on the popular series of children's novels by British author Cressida Cowell, was released in 2010 and grossed nearly $500 million worldwide. It was nominated for Best Animated Feature at the following year's Oscars, but lost to Toy Story 3.
The sequel is currently scheduled for release on June 20, 2014.
British actor Harington, 25, is best known for his role as Jon Snow in HBO medieval fantasy series Game of Thrones. He will make his big screen debut in upcoming horror film Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, due for release this October.
