'Glee' leads the way at 2010 Emmy nominations
This year's shortlist is announced
The 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards nominations have been announced, with musical comedy Glee leading the way with 19 nominations. Among these were nods as Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series for Lea Michele, who plays Rachel Berry, and Outstanding Supporting Actor for Chris Colfer, who plays Kurt Hummell.
Comedy Modern Family scored 14 monimations, dominating the Supprting Actor and Actress categories, while HBO gained the most overall nominations, 101, nearly a quarter of which were for the Tom Hanks/Steven Spielberg produced World War II mini-series The Pacific.
Matthew Fox gained his first ever Emmy nomination for Oustanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series for his work as Jack Shepherdon Lost, which ended its six-season run this year.
Other shows receiving a handful of nominations included The Good Wife, Dexter, Tina Fey’s 30 Rock and vampire drama True Blood.
