Guillermo del Toro promises 'different' take on 'The Incredible Hulk'
The Mexican director is working on on a TV version of Marvel's iconic character
Guillermo del Toro says his forthcoming TV version of The Incredible Hulk will be very different from the super hero's previous outings.
The Mexican director is working on a serialised version of Marvel's iconic character with Battlestar Galactica producer David Eick and he has dropped hints about what the pair have planned.
He told FEARnet: "One of the points of this project early on with Marvel was, 'we're going to do this thing different, and here's how. Are you interested?' And they were."
Del Toro added: "We turned in the outline to ABC about four weeks ago. And then we did a rewrite for ABC on the outline, and now we are lining up the pages."
Del Toro has form with comic book adaptations, having helmed the two critically-acclaimed Hellboy movies. The Bruce Banner/Hulk character can next be seen in Marvel's all-star superhero movie The Avengers alongside Iron Man, Captain America and Thor, where he will be played by Mark Ruffalo.
