The trailer for eagerly-anticipated monster movie Pacific Rim has been unveiled – scroll down and click 'play' to watch it.
Pacific Rim is the first film directed by Mexican filmmaker Guillermo del Toro since 2008's Hellboy 2: The Golden Army. Del Toro's previous directorial efforts include Pan's Labyrinth and Mimic.
Del Toro has called Pacific Rim "a beautiful poem to giant monsters". The film is conceived as a homage to Japanese 'Kaiju' movies such as Godzilla – sci-fi films centred on unnatural creatures of immense size.
Pacific Rim stars Charlie Hunnam, the British actor best known for Sons Of Anarchy and Queer As Folk. The cast also includes Luther's Idris Elba, former EastEnders actor Robert Kazinsky and Charlie Day from It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.
The film's script was written by Travis Beacham, whose previous credits include Clash Of The Titans. Pacific Rim will open in the UK on July 12, 2013.
