'Harry Potter''s Daniel Radcliffe signs up for war drama
Actor set for new version of 'All Quiet On The Western Front'
Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has signed up for a new adaptation of All Quiet On The Western Front. The anti-war novel, written by German war veteran Erich Maria Remarque, was made into an Oscar-winning film in 1930 and banned by Nazi Germany during World War II.
Radcliffe will play Paul, the naive schoolboy whose teacher convinces him to join the German army in 1914.
He is also set to appear on Broadway in a production of How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, which opens in 2011.
