Helen Mirren voted 'Body of the Year'

66 year old beats Elle MacPherson, Pippa Middleton and Jennifer Lopez for top spot

Helen Mirren voted 'Body of the Year'

Helen Mirren has been voted 'Body of the Year', beating Pippa Middleton and Jennifer Lopez in the process. As reported by People, the poll, taken by over 2,000 members of LA Fitness, placed the Oscar winning actress in prime position.

Almost 18 percent of those asked put The Queen actress top, with 10 percent opting for Elle 'The Body' MacPherson. Pippa Middleton and Kate Winslet both pulled in 4 percent of the vote.

In the men's vote, film actors Daniel Craig and Johnny Depp lost out to footballer David Beckham.

Mirren has recently taken over the role of Phil Spector's defense attorney from Bette Midler. She will star alongside Al Pacino for HBO.

The role has caused protests from the campaign group, Friends of Lana Clarkson, named after the actress killed by Spector in 2003.

One of Mirren's most famous creations, DCI Jane Tennison in Prime Suspect, is to be recreated in a US version starring A History of Violence actress, Mario Bello.

Helen Mirren will next be seen in The Debt, to be released in the UK on September 30.
