The new talent show is being billed as a rival to The X Factor and will use blind auditions to find new singing talent. Yates currently hosts Radio 1’s chart show and Willoughby presents on both This Morning and Dancing on Ice.

Jessie J has already been announced as a judge on The Voice, and apparently Kylie Minogue and Tom Jones are currently considering offers to join the panel, reports Contact Music.

Of her new job, Willoughby has said: "When it launched in America I watched one of the shows and thought it was just a fantastic format. When I heard it was coming to the UK I thought to myself how incredible it would be to be a part of it. It's going to be one roller coaster of a ride and I can't wait to get started.".

The judging panel on the US version of the show includes Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green. The format has been sold to 30 countries across the world.
