James Bond 23 officially named as 'Skyfall'
Details of 007's next outing are revealed today in London
The new James Bond movie has been officially named as Skyfall.
Details of the 23rd film in the series were revealed at a press conference in London today (November 3) with all the major players in attendance. Daniel Craig returns as 007 for a third outing alongside Judi Dench as M in a film directed by Sam Mendes.
Craig said that the film would be "Bond with a capital 'B'," adding "it's all in the script and we've got a great script."
Mendes said: "I thought the story was fantastic. I love Daniel and Judi. This is an enormous challenge. He also revealed that Skyfall "is its own story" and "doesn't connect with the last two movies". While the story does not relate to an original Ian Fleming novel, the title "has some emotional context which will be revealed in the film".
Joining the cast are Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes and Albert Finney. Filling the 'Bond girl' roles are Berenice Marlohe playimg a "glamorous and enigmatic" character named Severin, while Naomi Harris will play a field agent called Eve.
Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson will again serve as producers.
