James Corden to star in 'School For Santas'
The 'Gavin And Stacey' actor begins shooting the Christmas movie in 2013
James Corden has signed up to star in School For Santas.
The Christmas movie, made by Working Title Films, is about a down-on-his-luck dad who needs to discover his "inner Father Christmas" in order to win back the trust of his children.
The film is being written by Richard Bean, the playwright behind West End/Broadway hit One Man, Two Guvnors, and will see Corden reunited with the writer, as he played the lead role in the Tony Award-winning play.
The film will begin shooting in New York and London in 2013 and will be produced by Kris Thykier, who has The Debt, Kick-Ass and I Give It A Year among his production credits.
Speaking about getting the role in the film, James Corden said: "Re-teaming with Richard Bean and Kris Thykier is like all my Christmas's have come at once. I can't wait to start."
Meanwhile, Corden has been rumoured to be in line to star alongside Meryl Streep in a Hollywood adaptation of Sondheim musical Into The Woods. The Gavin And Stacey actor reportedly auditioned for the part of Baker in the upcoming movie.
The screen version of Into The Woods is being directed by Rob Marshall, who helmed previous musical movies Chicago and Nine. The film is based on a 1986 Stephen Sondheim musical which intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm fairytales and features characters like Cinderella, Rapunzel and Little Red Riding Hood.
