Jamie Foxx is reportedly in talks to play Martin Luther King Jr in a biopic, with Oliver Stone in negotiations to direct.

According to The Wrap, three sources close to the production have informed them of the current negotiation process. Foxx and Stone previously worked together on 1999 movie Any Given Sunday.

Steven Spielberg will produce the film for Dreamworks Suzanne de Passe, Madison Jones and Sam Nappi, while several members of the King family are expected to serve as executive producers on the Kario Salem scripted film.

Meanwhile, Jamie Foxx can next be seen appearing as the villainous Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Director Marc Webb finished shooting The Amazing Spider-Man 2 last summer (June) and the film is set to open worldwide on May 2, 2014. Andrew Garfield is back as Peter Parker and Emma Stone reprises her role as Gwen Stacy.

A 40-second clip released earlier this year features the first glimpse of Jamie Foxx's Electro. "You wanna how powerful how I am? Well I wanna know too..." Foxx says menacingly in a voiceover before a shot of his face as Electro is revealed. Scroll down and click 'play' to watch the teaser.
