Jim Carrey teases 'Dumb And Dumber', 'Bruce Almighty' sequels

Jim Carrey has said he would be keen to appear in sequels of Dumb And Dumber and Bruce Almighty. The Hollywood star revealed he's been in talks about "maybe returning to some old characters that everyone has been asking about".

Speaking to Comingsoon.net, Carrey commented: "There's Bruce Almighty and we're talking about maybe another Dumb And Dumber."

The latter, which saw him star alongside Jeff Daniels, was a breakout role for Carrey in 1994. Meanwhile, 2003's Bruce Almighty paired him with Jennifer Aniston.

There have already been quasi-sequels to both films which did not feature Carrey - Steve Carell starred in 2007 spin-off Evan Almighty. A Dumb And Dumber prequel, Dumb And Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd, was released in 2003.

Carrey's latest film role is in the adaptation of children's book Mr Popper's Penguins, which is due to be released in the US on June 17 and the UK on August 5.
