Johnny Depp among many stars to appear in new Ricky Gervais show – video

A promo for Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant's new comedy has been released online and you can view it below. The new docu-style comedy, Life's Too Short, tells of dwarf actor Warwick Davis and his struggles in the entertainment business.

Like their previous show Extras, the new comedy will feature a host of celebrities from the world of film, music and television.

Among those from the movie world making an appearance are Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Liam Neeson and Steve Carrell.

Television celebrities joining the show include Cat Deeley, Keith Chegwin, Les Dennis and, of course, Barry from Eastenders.

As well as a host of TV and Film stars, musicians featured in the video include Sting, Sophie Ellis-Bexter and '90s pop group Right Said Fred.

Davis who appeared in the Star Wars films, as well as all of the Harry Potter films, will play a “desperate, conniving, fame-hungry and self-centred” version of himself.

Life's Too Short will air on BBC2 later in the year.
