Joseph Gordon-Levitt responds to Batman rumour: 'I hadn't heard that one'
Actor dismisses reports linking him to the Batman role in superhero ensemble movie 'Justice League'
Back in November (2012), it was reported that Gordon-Levitt is wanted for the Batman role in Justice League, the new superhero ensemble movie from Warner Bros. Rumours have also suggested he could make a cameo as the caped crusader in Man Of Steel, the upcoming Superman reboot.
However, during an interview with MTV at the Sundance Film Festival, Gordon-Levitt insisted there is no truth to this rumour. He said: "I hadn't heard that one. It just goes to show how much you can believe rumours… I don't think you should believe in any of them. If there's something I'm going to be in, I'm going to tell you about it."
Earlier this month (January 2013), Gordon-Levitt joined the cast of Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, director Robert Rodriguez's sequel to Sin City. Discussing his role in the film, Gordon-Levitt said: Sin City 2 is going to be fun…[I'm playing] a quintessential Rodriguez badass. It’s going to be fun as hell."
The actor, 31, recently made his directing debut with a comedy called Don Jon's Addiction, in which he stars alongside Scarlett Johansson and Julianne Moore. The film premiered at Sundance on Friday (January 18) and has since been purchased by Relativity Media, which plans to give it a "wide theatrical release" this year (2013).
