Joseph Gordon-Levitt gave Rihanna's 'Bitch Better Have My Money' a barbershop makeover on last night's episode of The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.

The actor joined Fallon and the show's regular barbershop singers The Ragtime Gals to perform an a cappella cover of the hard-hitting trap hit, which caused controversy when Rihanna released a violent accompanying video in July.

The Ragtime Gals have become known for their barbershop covers of contemporary tracks and classic pop and rock hits, having performed songs including 'Roxanne', 'Sexual Healing' and 'Ignition (Remix)' on previous episodes of The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.

Gordon-Levitt was appearing on Fallon's talk show to promote his latest film The Walk, which is based on French high-wire artist Philippe Petit's audacious attempt to walk a tightrope between the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center on August 7, 1974. The actor spent eight days learning how to tightrope-walk with Petit himself for his role as the legendary French daredevil.

The Walk opens in US cinemas on September 30 and then in the UK on October 2.
