Katherine Heigl replaces Halle Berry in 'New Year's Eve'
'Knocked Up' star will appear in new ensemble comedy
Katherine Heigl has reportedly replaced Halle Berry in new ensemble comedy New Year's Eve. The Knocked Up star joins a heavyweight cast including Jessica Biel, Jon Bon Jovi, Abigail Breslin, Robert De Niro, Lea Michele, Sarah Jessica Parker and Michelle Pfeiffer.
Cinemablend.com reports that Heigl will also team up again with Ashton Kutcher – who she starred with in Killers last year – as well as her Life As We Know It co-star Josh Duhamel.
The reason for Berry's departure hasn't been made public.
The film is being directed by Garry Marshall, who helmed 2010's Valentine's Day. The plot will follow different characters as they try to find romance on New Year's Eve.
Filming begins this week (beginning January 31).
