'Epic' new 'Dark Knight Rises' trailer - Twitter reacts

A third trailer for The Dark Knight Rises was unveiled last night (April 30) and has generated a huge online reaction - click above to watch. The trailer, which offers a lot more details about the narrative of the hugely anticipated blockbuster, almost instantly became a trending topic on Twitter and has generated a massive buzz across the internet.
Entertainment Weekly praised the trailer, saying it presented a "very bleak future" for Batman, but also whetted the appetite of all those waiting with baited breath to see it. Empire felt the same, saying that the new promo had built "anticipation levels cranked to somewhere beyond fever pitch."
Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz however wasn't so keen and echoed the sentiments of all those who are becoming bored of the sheer amount of viral interest in the film. He wrote:
someone put me in a medical coma until dark knight rises is released.

The Dark Knight Rises, which is released on July 20, is the third and final Batman film by Christopher Nolan. The movie will see the Liam Neeson reprise the role of Ra's Al Ghul alongside a returning Christian Bale, Gary Oldman and Michael Caine.
