Leonardo DiCaprio's attacker given restraining order

Woman who assaulted actor in 2005 appears in court

Leonardo DiCaprio's attacker given restraining order

A woman who attacked Leonardo DiCaprio with a broken beer bottle in 2005 has been given a restraining order. Aretha Wilson, 40, attacked the actor at a private Hollywood party held by Paris Hilton's ex-boyfriend Rick Salomon, before fleeing to Canada.

The Inception star was left needing a dozen stitches to his face and neck. According to police reports, Wilson claimed she mistook him for an ex-boyfriend.

After being extradited to the US, Wilson was ordered not to come within 500 yards of the actor and her bail was raised to £95,000 by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Hillery G. Merritt.

Wilson did not enter a plea. She is now set to return to the Los Angeles Superior Court on August 11 to face charges of assault with a deadly weapon, reports the BBC.

Leonardo DiCaprio is currently topping the box office in thriller Inception.
