Les Misérables releases 5 teaser trailers – watch

Five new teaser trailers for Les Misérables have been released – you can watch them all below.

Helmed by The Kings Speech director Tony Hooper, Les Misérables, best known as 'the longest-running musical in the world', stars Hugh Jackman in the lead role as Jean Valjean alongside Russell Crowe, Anny Hathaway Amanda Seyfried, Sacah Baron Cohen and Helena Bonham Carter.

Based on the novel by Victor Hugo, Les Misérables has been adapted for the big screen several times, most recently in 1998, with Liam Neeson taking on the role of Valjean. The new adaptation will be released in the UK on January 11 (2013).

The first clip shows prison officer Javert (Crowe) releasing Valjean after 19 years of slavery:


The second clip sees Anne Hathaway, who plays Cosette's mother Fantine, leading an ensemble in a rendition of 'At The End Of The Day':


The third teaser is of Valjean, played by Hugh Jackman, reaching a torrid crossroads in his life, as he belts out a stirring version of 'Who Am I?':


The fourth trailer is a romantic duet between Cosette (Amanda Seyfried) and Marius Pontmercy (Eddie Redmayne). The pair sing 'A Heart Full Of Love':


The fifth and final trailer shows a rain-sodden Eponine (Samantha Barks) singing 'On My Own' while walking through deserted French streets:
