Liam Neeson and Will Ferrell sign up for 'Lego' movie
They join Morgan Freeman on the voice cast for the 3D animated movie
Liam Neeson and Will Ferrell are to lend their voices to the new Lego feature film.
According to Deadline, Mad Men's Alison Brie and Nick Offerman from Parks & Recreation have also joined the voice cast for the 3D animated movie. Based on the popular line of construction toys, the film is currently in the works at Warner Bros Pictures. It's rumoured to have the full title Lego: The Piece of Resistance.
The movie's voice cast already includes Morgan Freeman, Elizabeth Banks and Chris Pratt, who all signed up back in August (2012). It's being written and directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who previously made computer-animated hit Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs.
Meanwhile, an amusing-sounding plot synopsis has been posted on the IMDB website. It teases: "An ordinary Lego mini-figure, mistakenly thought to be the extraordinary MasterBuilder, is recruited to join a quest to stop an evil Lego tyrant from gluing the universe together."
Ferrell will voice the role of the tyrant, with Neeson as his loyal henchman. Warner Bros Pictures has slated the Lego movie for release on February 28, 2014.
