Lindsay Lohan facing lawsuit over 'rehab assault'

Lindsay Lohan is being sued by a former rehab worker who has accused her of assault and battery. The lawsuit has been launched by Dawn Bradley, who was fired from the Betty Ford Centre in Los Angeles after a row with Lohan in December 2010, reports BBC Newsbeat.

According to a probation report, Bradley had been trying to give the Mean Girls star a breathalyser test when the argument flared. Bradley claims she was seriously injured during the incident and needed surgery on her wrist.

Bradley was fired from her job at the facility after speaking about the fight on camera with TMZ.com.

Lohan spent three months at the Betty Ford Centre after failing a drug screening for cocaine and amphetamines.

She was recently told by a judge that she needs to spend more time doing community service. The actress must complete 480 hours of good deeds by next April.

Earlier this year, Lohan signed on to star as mafia bride Kim Gotti in the forthcoming New York gangland biopic Gotti: In The Name Of The Father. The Al Pacino-starring film is slated for a 2013 release.
