Lindsay Lohan 'sacked' from latest film

Writer-director of 'The Other Side' questions star's 'bankability'

Lindsay Lohan 'sacked' from latest film

Lindsay Lohan has been sacked from her latest film due to fears about relying on her "bankability" for the project.

The actress was set to star in The Other Side - a film about a grad student working on a deserted island - along with Woody Harrelson, Giovanni Ribisi, Dave Matthews and Alanis Morissette.

The film's writer-director David Michaels has told TMZ.com that the notorious party girl has been dropped due to fears about her "bankability".

The website added that "sources connected with the film" tell them the financiers of the film were "skittish" about relying on Lohan due to her wild antics.

Michaels said: "Our team simply chose to move on from Lindsay and we'll soon be announcing a replacement."

Lohan's last film released in cinemas was 2007's critically-mauled I Know Who Killed Me, and she will next star in thriller Machete this September. Her most recent film - Labor Pains - went straight to DVD.

Recent reports have linked Lohan with a possible comeback in a forthcoming Quentin Tarantino film - a director notable for resurrecting careers.
