Lindsay Lohan to star in ‘Scary Movie 5’?

The actress is discussing a role alongside Ashley Tisdale in the comedy sequel

Lindsay Lohan is reportedly in talks to star in Scary Movie 5.

According to Page Six, the actress had a meeting last week with Bob Weinstein, head of movie studio Dimension, to discuss a role in the comedy sequel. High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale has already been cast, but a representative for Dimension said that Lohan’s role is not confirmed.

Scary Movie 5, which has a projected release date of April 2013, will be the first film in the parody franchise since 2006’s Scary Movie 4. Anna Faris starred in all four previous instalments, but is not expected to return for the fifth film. Other actors to have made appearances in the Scary Movie series include Leslie Nielsen, Pamela Anderson, Charlie Sheen, Cloris Leachman and Carmen Electra.

Scary Movie 5 will be directed by Malcolm Lee with a script co-written by David Zucker, who directed the third and fourth films in the series. Movies spoofed in the new film are rumoured to include Black Swan, Paranormal Activity, Rise of the Planet of the Apes and 127 Hours.

Lohan, 26, is currently filming Liz & Dick, a TV movie about the legendary romance between Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. Later this summer, she is scheduled to begin work on The Canyons, an upcoming big screen thriller written by Bret Easton Ellis.
