Video: Killing Bono - Exclusive Clip
A never-before-released U2 song has emerged in new movie Killing Bono. The movie portrays the early years of the band through the eyes of friend and rival Neil McCormick. Now a journalist for the Daily Telegraph, the film is based on McCormick's memoir I Was Bono's Doppelganger.
NME.COM's exclusive clip above shows U2's debut gig in Dublin in their original incarnation as The Hype. The song they perform, 'Street Missions', is a lost track from those early days.
Producer Ian Flooks told NME: "The song The Hype play at the first gig is a song called 'Street Missions' that, although written by them, was as far as I know never recorded so this is the first time it's been recorded."
Killing Bono is released in the UK on April 1. It was directed by Nick Hamm and features Ben Barnes, Robert Sheehan and the late Pete Postlethwaite.
