'Little Britain' and the 'IT Crowd' stars sign up for new film 'Bridesmaids'

Matt Lucas and Chris O’Dowd have signed on to Bridesmaids, the new comedy from Saturday Night Live's Kristen Wiig. Lucas, best known for his array of characters in Little Britain, is no stranger to film work, having appeared as Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee in Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland.

The IT Crowd's O’Dowd is also gaining popularity in Hollywood, and will be seen this year in Dinner For Schmucks opposite Steve Carell and in Gulliver’s Travels, with Jack Black and Billy Connolly.

Bridesmaids is a wedding comedy, co-written by Wiig. It will be produced by Judd Apatow, who is responsible for the likes of Kocked Up and Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and will be directed by Freaks And Geeks's Paul Feig.
