US First Lady to appear in comedy show
Michelle Obama will make a cameo appearance in Parks And Recreation, it has been confirmed.
As the BBC reports, the US First Lady will star in a forthcoming episode of the comedy show, which focuses on the bureaucratic goings-on at a parks department in the fictional town of Pawnee.
Obama will appear in the finale episode of the NBC show's sixth season. Titled Moving Up, the plot will revolved around her campaign to tackle child obesity. Previously, politicians including John McCain and Joe Biden have also starred in the show.
Parks And Recreation regulars Rashida Jones, who plays Ann Perkins, and Rob Lowe, who joined in season two as Chris Traeger, recently departed the show midway through its sixth season. Meanwhile, Chris Pratt – who plays Andy Dwyer in the show – has branched out into Hollywood recently with his recent role in The Lego Movie, and he will also star in forthcoming films including Jurassic World and Guardians Of The Galaxy.
