Montage video shows every Oscar best picture winner in four minutes - watch
Everything from 'The Sound Of Music' to 'Braveheart' gets revisited...
An impressive montage video has appeared online featuring every film to be named best picture at the Oscars. Scroll down and click 'play' to watch it.
The four-minute video begins with a clip from 1927's Wings, the first film to win the Academy Award for best picture, and runs through the subsequent winners in chronological order right up to last year's The Artist. Along the way, everything from The Sound Of Music to Braveheart gets revisited.
The video then asks "Next?" before showing clips from the nine films nominated for this year's best picture award, which include Steven Spielberg's Lincoln, Ben Affleck's Argo and Kathryn Bigelow's Zero Dark Thirty.
The montage sets its parade of clips to the classical strains of 'November' by British composer Max Richter. It was made by Chicago-based filmmaker Nelson Carvajal, who bills it as a "retrospective in anticipation of the 85th Academy Awards".
The 85th Academy Awards take this place this Sunday (February 24) at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. This year's ceremony is being hosted by Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane and will include a performance from Adele, whose Bond theme 'Skyfall' is hot favourite to win the award for best original song.
